Trouble Songs – The Exhibition

These 21 photographs were considered for inclusion in Stuart Bailie’s excellent book Trouble Songs, a book that should be on the syllabus of every school in Northern Ireland - and beyond. They were taken, in the main for Alternative Ulster fanzine, the NME and various other “inkies” (the pseudo-serious rock press), between 1978 and 1987. Some haven’t been published, or even printed, before and others have done the rounds. The publication of the book seemed to be as good a reason as any to exhibit them together publicly for the first time.
